Compliance

A check you can describe, done before they arrive.

Protect Events is the record of an age and identity check at signup or ticket purchase. Your team manages the review pipeline. The venue remains responsible for its licence.

The record

What you can point to.

The age you set

Each session carries the minimum age for that signup or that ticket. An 18+ event and a younger show do not share one switch.

What was captured

A guided face capture, a UK, Irish or US passport or driving licence, and a photo of the guest holding the document. A licence includes the back.

The outcome

Approved, declined, or waiting in the review pipeline. Declines name the reason, such as under age, expiry, or a face that does not match.

Who decided the awkward ones

Your team manages the review pipeline. Flagged documents are not approved by a guess. The images stay until your team decides, then follow the 30-day deletion clock.

Your pipeline

You manage the review pipeline.

Age, expiry and a face that does not match are decided by the rules on the session. Those are the clear ones.

A layout that does not match, signs of tampering, or a photo of a screen are not a silent yes and not an automatic no. They sit in the pipeline until your team has looked. The guest is told the check is with you. Your webhook can say the same thing, so ticketing does not treat a waiting review as an approval.

Limits

What this does not do.

Questions

The short version.

How this sits with UK licensing
Who manages the review pipeline?

You do. Clear checks are approved or declined against the age and document rules. If a document looks edited, or looks like a photo of a screen, it waits. Your team approves or declines it.

How long are ID images kept?

ID images are deleted after 30 days, unless that check is still in your review pipeline. Images travel over HTTPS and are stored encrypted. Processing runs in London.

Can we show this to a licensing officer?

You can show the age that was set, the outcome, and that flagged documents were decided by your team. What that record is worth in a hearing is a question for your licensing solicitor. The UK licensing page explains the guidelines this is designed to sit alongside.
